If you’ve ever read a supposedly “great” book, and hated it — or tried to talk with someone about a really-is-great-book and turns out he/she hated it — you’ll find this amusing.

That list is great. It should probably have Tom Wolf’s Bonfire of the Vanities on it, or A Man in Full, but other than that, I can’t tell you what a fantastic collection that list would make.

Another interesting exercise would be to track down a bunch of “100 greatest books” lists and compare them. Create a meta-list!!!
