Bad agents beware

Because Writer Beware has published its list of top 20 worst agents.

Via the blog kept by Writer Beware’s Victoria Strauss and A.C. Crispin, who also have an interesting post about what happens when a writer’s work is submitted to a publisher by an unprofessional or questionable agent. (Click “show original post” if all you see is comments. Their blog doesn’t support permalinks.)

  1. I am looking for a good literary agent or publishinghouse to see if the manuscripts for two short novels and a collection of short stories and essays are worth getting into print (I think they are and further am sure that they will be good sellers, plus the fact that the two short novels have film adaptation possibility).

Is there anybody out there who can help a writer from Manila? I have no intention of publishing my manuscripts here in Manila due to fraudulent practices prevalent in the country.

  2. Hi, Ed,

I’ve emailed you rather than answer your question in the blog comments. Drop me a note if you don’t get my email.
