Several of these journals are participating in a promotion &#8212; they&#8217;re discounting their subscription price if you subscribe to three or more. <a href=\"http:\/\/emergingwriters.typepad.com\/emerging_writers_network\/2006\/06\/get_lit_journal.html\">Details are here on the Emerging Writers Network blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Agents read these journals, keeping an eye out for promising new writers &#8212; and being published in them is a great way to move your query to the top of an agent&#8217;s stack.
