I’m going to do a standing rib roast for dinner.

My grandmothers wouldn’t have found this thrilling. So see? Post-post modernism isn’t all about being cynical.

  1. Neither of your grandmothers ever cooked a standing rib roast. Which, considering, was probably a good thing as they would have burned it to a crisp in the attempt to get it well done.
