From Diana Peterfreund, who modestly titles her post “10 Things I Know About My Writing” — in reality it’s a generous share for aspiring fiction writers.
My favorite: #7, “It’s a thousand times easier to write a new book than to sell a bad book.”
lol
I get a kick over ‘throw in an explosion” – that’s what I did.
I commented on Diana’s blog that for Raymond Chandler, the solution was to have someone run in with a gun, which I get a kick out of because there’s that one sequence in The Big Sleep where he uses that twice in a row — it’s like a teen horror flick where you start yelling at the actors “don’t go into the basement” — “don’t answer the door!”
