Okay, I’m doing my part to stop this meme from corrupting any more innocent bloggers. Read this before you believe the story about cows having accents. It’s a PR ploy. Make that, a PR cow pie. Hear that sound around the globe? It’s the sound of journalists munching. Munch munch munch.

Here in Texas we refer to all such accounts of “Bovine Speech” simply by its initials. In fact, the refrain of the popular “Cotton Eyed Joe” line-dancing song calls for all dancing participants to shout out a slightly longer version of those same initials.
I wonder if RobotJAM (see my blogroll) might have more insight into this British phenomenon of accented cows.
